There’s something about Pushkar that instantly slows you down. Maybe it’s the spiritual energy of the town, the calmness of the Aravallis surrounding you, or simply the contrast it offers from the chaos of city life. And during Holi, that energy transforms into something even more magical.

Our journey to The Westin Pushkar Resort & Spa began with a long drive from the airport, but the moment we arrived, the fatigue disappeared almost instantly. We were warmly welcomed by the General Relations, Preeti Pawar and Chef Ashwini Kumar, whose hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay.
The property itself feels expansive and serene, with a beautiful balance of luxury and traditional Rajasthani aesthetics. Once we checked into our room, the highlight was undoubtedly the private pool, the kind that instantly makes you want to cancel all plans and simply unwind. Spacious, calming, and thoughtfully designed, the room perfectly reflected the signature Westin comfort.

After a quick freshen-up, we headed for hi-tea, and honestly, it was one of those indulgent spreads where you don’t know where to begin. From flaky croissants and fresh fruits to piping hot kachoris, it beautifully blended local flavours with international comfort. Add to that the scenic setting and winter sun, and it became one of the most relaxing moments of the trip.

Post a much-needed nap, dinner awaited us at Panorama, the resort’s specialty restaurant overlooking the landscape. The fresh barbecued dishes stood out immediately, flavourful, perfectly cooked, and comforting. While the cocktail selection could have been more extensive, the overall dining experience still felt elevated and intimate.
What truly stood out, though, was the quality of sleep. Westin’s Heavenly Bed is spoken about for a reason, and after an entire day of travel, the mattress absolutely lived up to the brand’s reputation.
The next morning was dedicated to Holi celebrations, and this is where the resort truly came alive. Think rain dance setups, organic colours, live music, dhol beats, and an atmosphere that felt festive without being chaotic. What I appreciated most was the crowd, largely families and leisure travellers, which made the celebrations feel safe, warm, and genuinely enjoyable. The hospitality team ensured guests were comfortable throughout, making the experience feel both vibrant and well-managed.
Later that evening, we explored the cocktail room, and aesthetically, it was stunning. The backlit whiskey wall looked straight out of a luxury lounge — almost like a whiskey library where every label you could think of had a place. We paired a few starters with a Guava Picante, which turned out to be one of the better cocktails we had during the stay.

During a conversation, Preeti mentioned that the Holi package tariff was approximately 45,000/- per night, inclusive of the room, celebrations, and experiences. Given the scale of activities and the overall hospitality, it did feel like a well-curated festive package for families looking for a luxury Holi getaway.
One thing the resort deserves full credit for is how thoughtfully they’ve designed experiences for every age group. My sister instantly gravitated toward the camel rides within the property, while children around the resort were busy with multiple dedicated activities and play zones. It never felt like a resort that catered only to couples or wellness travellers, families were equally at the heart of the experience.
The following morning began with a floating breakfast in our private pool — one of those indulgent holiday moments that feels straight out of a postcard. The breakfast spread was entirely vegetarian yet incredibly satisfying and fresh.

Post breakfast, we finally experienced the spa, which had already been highly recommended to us by multiple people at the property. And honestly, it completely lived up to the hype. The therapies were deeply relaxing, the space itself felt tranquil, and after the high-energy Holi celebrations, it was exactly what we needed.
The resort then arranged a visit to the sacred Brahma Temple, which added a beautiful spiritual layer to the trip. Having Panditji explain the temple’s significance and offer blessings made the experience feel deeply personal rather than just touristy.
By the time we returned, lunch was waiting a traditional Rajasthani thali that was packed with bold, robust flavours. The non-vegetarian thali, in particular, stood out for its authenticity and richness, although some dishes did lean towards the spicier side.

Overall, The Westin Pushkar Resort & Spa delivers exactly what it promises during Holi, a festive escape that balances celebration, luxury, wellness, and culture beautifully. Whether it’s the warm hospitality, immersive experiences, family-friendly atmosphere, or simply the feeling of slowing down amidst Rajasthan’s landscape, the resort creates a holiday that feels memorable long after you leave.
