Fielia is India’s first cocktail cinema, where drinks, food, design and service unfold like a carefully directed performance. Founded by Afsana Verma, Amit Verma and Dhaval Udeshi, Fielia is built on the idea that cocktails can tell stories — not loudly, but with nuance. The space, designed by Gauri Khan, leans into old-world drama with double-height ceilings, wrought iron details, shadowy corners and a mezzanine that feels almost operatic. It’s intimate without being insular, cinematic without tipping into gimmickry.

At the heart of the experience is a narrative-driven cocktail programme led by Fay Barretto. Each drink draws inspiration from moments of scandal, sin, and intrigue with infamous events, whispered histories, cultural icons. These aren’t cocktails meant to be rushed; they invite pause. Temperature contrasts, layered aromas, clever glassware and subtle theatre come together in drinks that feel composed rather than showy. The balance here is impressive and inventive yet restrained, playful yet precise.

Food follows the same philosophy. Curated by Chef Hitesh Shanbhag, the menu is designed as an aperitivo-style companion to the bar rather than a standalone dining destination — and that works in its favour. Small plates inspired by indulgence and restraint coexist comfortably: burrata and shrimp preparations, well-executed meats, comforting textures, and flavour profiles that don’t overpower the drinks. It’s food meant for grazing, sharing, and lingering conversations. Desserts, especially the Basque-style offering, bring the experience to a quietly indulgent close.

What truly elevates Fielia is how cohesive the experience feels. Service is polished but never intrusive, and the storytelling extends beyond the menu into how the space moves and breathes. Nothing here feels accidental. Fielia doesn’t chase trends but it commits to a mood.
It’s for those who appreciate atmosphere, craft, and intention and where the evening feels composed rather than chaotic.
