In one of the Christmas movies, Donald Duck quips excitedly, “This is gonna be good!”. And, after bumper-to-bumper Mumbai traffic when I headed to sample Disney Adventure’s culinary line-up media preview, I knew it in my heart to be true. And boy, was I right!
Disney Adventure is Asia’s first Disney Cruise Line (DCL) to homeport in Singapore. All set to sail next March, the DCL team has been teasing patrons for over a year with its many reveals. I was one of the first ones to try the F&B offering that is going to be served onboard. And, I can honestly say, it is magical.
Sous-Chef Donald Duck Made The Taste Of Adventure Unforgettable
Our sous-chef for the evening was none other than Donald Duck himself. And my “Taste of Adventure” experience was truly wonderful. On the cruise, there are over 20 dining and lounge options. At the preview, Disney classics with bold flavours that were an homage to Asia’s rich gastronomic heritage kept coming. Director of Culinary DCL, Stephen Walker, along with his experienced team, put forward flavours of Asia onto our plates. Meticulously crafted, the menu highlighted a handful of the dishes that are going to be served to patrons across venues.
Indian and Asian Flavours Take Centre Stage
From amuse-bouche to desserts, I savoured 12 courses of flavour-gasm. Think local, everyday ingredients from India and Southeast Asia on your plate. The Indian take on dishes does come with an element of surprise, the good kind. So here’s my snap review beside each dish sampled:
Palo Café’s Potato Gnocchi sets the tone with its creamy, nutty bite-sized goodness—perfect as a comforting nibble that doesn’t try too hard yet leaves a mark. Enchanted Summer Restaurant’s Jackfruit (Kathal) Masala Kosha Taco follows with a juicy, flavoursome crunch, proving that Indian-inspired tacos can shine with bold textures. Navigator’s Club’s Duck Confit comes next, balanced and toothsome, and cheekily irresistible—though best not to tell Donald Duck. Pixar Market Restaurant’s Goan Pork Belly is marvellous in its richness, and the pairing with an upma cake feels like unlocking a whole new culinary level.

Hollywood Spotlight Club surprises with its Yellow Fin Tuna and Prawns Mumbai Bhel—a ceviche-meets-Bambaiya street-food masterpiece that demands to be on everyone’s must-try list. Concierge Kitchen pushes boundaries with the Bread Curd Fire Roll, carrying soft kebab vibes that melt in your mouth, while Animator’s Palate brings a slurp-worthy Laksa Lemak, delivering a layered explosion of flavours in every spoonful. Mowgli’s Eatery raises the game with its Tandoori Habanero Bhuna Chicken Tikka—tender, fiery, and beautifully paired with Amul-cheese naan bombs that live up to their name.

The culinary journey rounds off on a high with Hollywood Spotlight Club’s Miso Glazed Chilean Seabass, flawlessly cooked and begging for repeat bites, alongside Concierge Kitchen’s Charred Punjabi Raara Lamb—crispy, spicy, and paired with a standout chili coulis and baby kulcha, though the meat itself leaned slightly undercooked. Dessert brings the perfect close: Enchanted Summer Restaurant’s Lemon Thai Basil Tart, creamy and refreshing like a spoonful of heaven, and Animator Table’s Mickey Chocolate Tarte—playful, decadent, and almost too cute to eat until its richness wins you over.

Beverages Across Restaurants That Stun
The meal was paired with some delectable cocktails and a wine selection that every wine connoisseur vies to stock up. Think Chateau Ste. Riesling, Saint Clair Pinot Noir, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Domaine Hamelin Chardonnay, J’Noon Red Blend, and more. On the cocktail front, zero-proof cocktails (which seem to be a very 2025 trend) made delectable seem like a small adjective. I am talking Disney flair with twinkling ice cubes, cute Tinkerbell or Dante collectables, pandan, tea, and a mixed bag of Asian ingredients that will make you order one after the other. They are available across venues on board.
There’s Something For Everyone Onboard
Catering to a diverse age group, kids to grandparents, there is something for everyone. Be it special kid-friendly menus (and zones) or Jain-friendly, vegan-friendly, halal-certified meat offerings, everything is thought through. Seafarers can place their dietary requests five weeks before sailing, and everything will be taken care of. Patrons can enjoy customisation in every aspect of their journey. There is also rotational dining, included in your fare, that is a Disney Cruise Line signature. Guests, each evening, will get to enjoy a multi-course menu as they rotate between themed dining rooms.

Restaurants and Lounges on Disney Adventure: Mowgli’s Eatery, Mike & Sulley’s, Spellbound, Palo Café, Garden Bar, Tiana’s Bayou Lounge, Buccaneer Bar, Market Bar, Taverna Portorosso, Wheezy’s Freezies, Palo Trattoria, Navigator’s Club, Hollywood Spotlight Club, Animator’s Palate, Animator’s Table, Enchanted Summer Restaurant, Pixar Market Restaurant, Pizza Planet, Cosmic Kebabs, Gramma Tala’s Kitchen, Stitch’s Ohana Grill, Bewitching Boba and Brews, and more.
P.S. Some culinary expenses will be included in the fare; others will incur additional costs.
The dinner ended perfectly for me. I walked out with a teaser of what’s onboard, and I cannot wait to try more of their offerings. #Manifesting
