There’s something to be said about the quiet luxury of walking around well-lit aisles surrounded by some of the most coveted gourmet products from across the world. One can linger for as long as one likes, slowly taking in the sights and smells of the exotic coffees, cheeses, chocolates, fruits and vegetables from all corners of the world. Welcome to Le Gourmet by Le Marche, your one-stop destination in Delhi-NCR for luxury grocery products, which is now open at The Chanakya.

The concept by DS Group is designed to make Le Gourmet more than just another store. Walk in and you will be forgiven for mistaking it to be a Parisian gourmet extravaganza. It is a multi-sensory experience enhanced by the plethora of curated goods for the discerning customer, who wants nothing but the best for their home. Spread across almost 15,000 square feet, Le Gourmet has something for everyone. Khapli and millet flours? They’ve got it. In need of caviar selections from Oscietra and Kaluga to Russian Beluga and Labeyrie for your Diwali parties? Yep, you will find them all here. Craving for a hot cuppa Bacha Coffee or Japanese snacks to munch on? You don’t need to look any further.

On the aisle

The variety of luxury grocery products here is enough to dazzle you, so we suggest you take a walk around the store first, savouring the display. To make things convenient for the customer, the store has been designed in such a way that one can easily find what they are looking for, whether it is your favourite baklava or the truffle oil you wanted for your kitchen pantry. As we walked around Le Gourmet, we were tempted to pick up many items – including Sirocco Swiss teas, hydroponic greens, freshly made almond butter, garlic cheese cashew mix, premium meats, Mediterranean oils and so much more.

Go International

Although you will find a number of Indian brands here, your mind is sure to be blown with the plethora of international luxury products. Remember asking your cousin to pick up a jar of Bacha Coffee from the Singapore airport? Well, you don’t have to do that anymore, because you will find it right here, along with a selection of Harrod’s Teas, Maestrani Swiss Chocolates, Thai mangoes and coconuts, and many more.

A sensory experience

The reason we mentioned that Le Gourmet feels more than just a shopping destination becomes clear once you discover all the interesting sensory experiences they have curated for you. How about making your own chocolate bar with all your favourite toppings? Watch the chef deftly roll out handmade pasta right in front of your eyes. Create your own tea bend at the tea station. Take a break from the retail therapy and indulge in a fig and ricotta or a chocolate truffle gelato on the way. Head to the deli where they have a variety of fresh dips, marinated olives, cheeses and much more. You can even get your own guacamole or charcuterie board made here, just the way you like it! With the festive season coming up, this is also a good time to pick up a gift hamper for your loved ones filled with some of their favourite gourmet products.

Baking good

If you find yourself drifting towards the smell of freshly baked goods, blame Le Café by L’Opera! This is where you will find pastries, flaky buttery croissants, desserts and savouries. Indulge in them here or pack them and take them home. One thing’s for sure – when you come to Le Gourmet, you will not go home empty-handed!
