Review: Toscano, Andheri – A Slice of Italy in the Suburbs

If you’re looking for a place where Italian charm, soulful flavours, and a comforting ambience come together, Toscano in Andheri might just be your next go-to spot. After winning hearts in Navi Mumbai, the beloved Italian restaurant has now made its way to the buzzing streets of Veera Desai—and it brings with it everything you’d expect from a true Italian kitchen.

We tried a few dishes that absolutely stood out.

To begin with, the Mushroom Bruschetta served on a crisp yet chewy slice of sourdough was packed with umami-rich flavours—earthy, savoury, and deeply satisfying. It’s the kind of starter that sets the tone for a hearty Italian meal.

The sourdough pizza was a delight—beautifully blistered crust, a balanced tang from the slow fermentation, and topped with generous helpings of fresh ingredients. The texture was just right: crispy on the edges and soft inside, with a depth of flavour that only a good sourdough can deliver.

The real showstopper, however, was the Rigatoni with Ham & Mushroom—a creamy, indulgent plate of comfort that you don’t want to miss. The sauce was velvety and flavourful, clinging to each tube of rigatoni, while the salty ham and mushrooms added just the right savoury bite. It’s rich, soulful, and definitely a must-try.

Toscano’s ambiance in Andheri is warm and inviting, with burgundy tones and lush greenery that give the space a cozy yet elegant vibe. The alfresco seating adds a lovely touch for those who enjoy dining under the sky.

Whether you’re catching up with friends or planning a relaxed family dinner, Toscano delivers on both food and experience. And if you’re into desserts, don’t leave without trying their Tiramisu or Kahlua Mousse.
