Cin Cin in BKC, Mumbai, brings in an atlas of Amalfi lemon inspired flavours in its new menu.

Fancy sipping a sunny spritz, as you go on the ‘gram, strolling along the sun-soaked cobblestone streets along the Amalfi coast? Cin Cin in BKC in Mumbai brings your daydream alive! Park your sunflower-hued Vespa at the fun and flirty kerbside restaurant and saunter in for the splashout of the year – the Lemon Festa Version 8.0 that pours in tangy, citrus elan into an all-new menu.

It’s a lemon tap dance in the concise menu, with sparkling vegetarian options in the antipasti. The Crostini Al Limone wins your little heart easily as the crackling toasty bread smattered with ricotta with honey chilli drizzle and Amalfi lemon pirouettes on the plate. A great interplay of textures that suffuses your palate with soft, pleasure-full mouthfuls as you tuck in with gusto – this one is a pick recommended by Executive Chef Daya for whom the Amalfi lemon became “a starting point, a muse. The zest, the leaf, the jam, the preserve — each one offered a new texture, a new memory to play with,” he shares. “Honestly, it’s not just about flavour. It’s about what lemon feels like on the plate. Sharp but comforting. Bright but nostalgic.” On point.

Cheese lovers of the world unite. If you’re a Gruyere devotee, the Fonduta E Gnoccho Fritto with limy fondue and Konark cheese splurge merits a special mention. Team up the super cocktails: the Amalfi Affair – that arrives in a lemony foamy tipped pour – smoky and fruity like a refreshing summer spin. Malfy Muse is another hotfooter, with honeyed Amalfi lemon inserts paired with Malfy gin. Light and totally sip-worthy. Try the Italian lemonade if you want to skirt the spirits. Piquant and playful in a refreshing format.

While you soak up the sunny ambience at the lively bar, festooned with bright super-sized lemons from the Italian coast, the music and the vibe of the restaurant takes over the entire expanse. Fork in the light salad in Insalata Pesca with grilled peach cubes, a flurry of micro greens, pistachio and lemon slivers canoodling with honey lemon dressing. Fresh and flavorful. Little treasures are wonderful pleasures and the mini ninjas in charred artichokes stroked with minty oil absolutely floor in Carcioli.

Pasta picks delight in the Cappelletti with the cheesy bellied hat-shaped pasta making darling moves in saffron broth, shimmying with globules of basil oil. Decidedly delicious. If you are a seafood lover, the Casarecce Con Granchio is an ode to marine whispers, with its smashing mix of crabmeat in lemon butter sauce whisked pasta.

Pizzas are always super win at Cin Cin and the Ciliegia arrives cool and confident, laden with fresh cherries lathered with pastry cream and lemon jam in a stunning dessert rendition. A delightful surprise play of flavours. Dig into the Mascarpone Al Limone – this is a sweet pick that you wish you could have on IV! – with the crunchy, fine phyllo pastry chips and Amalfi lemon coupling up for a cool dance.

The new menu at Cin Cin brings in the complete carousel: of winsome food, amazing drinks, and a cheery setting to match the quirky, whimsical flavours as they unfurl on your palette. Totally Instagrammable.
