Otoki is the city’s newest destination for elevated Japanese dining. Inspired by the convivial spirit of Japan’s traditional izakayas and reimagined with modern sophistication, Otoki offers a transportive culinary journey rooted in authenticity, artistry, and precision.
Otoki is the vision of restauranters Anurag Katriar and Pranav M. Rungta, who bring decades of culinary leadership and entrepreneurial spirit to the project. Their mission is to create a space that doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story.
What Otoki offers?
Complementing the cuisine is an expertly led Sake programme, curated by Maia Laifungbam, India’s first certified sake brewer. The beverage list features a spectrum of premium sakes—from crisp sparkling varieties to rare dessert sakes—curated to deepen the dining experience for novices and aficionados alike.
Designed with minimalism and warmth, Otoki’s interiors reflect the quiet elegance of Kyoto with a Mumbai sensibility—creating a dining atmosphere that is intimate, immersive, and unforgettable.

We wanted to create a space that offers more than just a meal; it’s an invitation to slow down, share meaningful conversations, and experience the depth of traditional Japanese dining”
“In a city as dynamic as Mumbai, we felt there was space for a concept that blends craftsmanship with approachability. Otoki brings the warmth of an izakaya together with fine culinary detail—it’s where timeless Japanese traditions meet contemporary Mumbai dining.” added Pranav Rungta
