In 2025, wedding invitations are no longer just stationery, they are the first chapter of a couple’s story. Designers are transforming invites into keepsakes, immersive experiences, and personal storybooks that reflect love, quirks, and memories. From bespoke monograms to hidden symbols, every detail is curated with intention.
Itchha Talreja: Invitations as Personal Universes

“Every couple has a story that’s entirely their own,” says Itchha Talreja. “We take the time to know them, through long conversations and detailed questionnaires, to ensure every design reflects their personality.”
One of her most memorable projects was a wedding in Budapest, where the invitation suite featured bespoke celestial illustrations—a yin and yang sun-and-moon logo representing balance and growth, zodiac signs, and subtle hidden motifs. “These elements made the invite magical and deeply meaningful, a keepsake the couple would treasure forever,” she adds.

Mubaarak Studio: Storytelling Through Design

At Mubaarak Studio, Sagar Vipani believes “every love story deserves its own visual language.” The design process begins with understanding the couple’s passions, family traditions, and shared memories. These details are then distilled into typography, textures, and materials that make each invitation unique.
A standout project was the wedding suite for Akash & Aashvi, which blended adventure, heritage, and emotion. Custom symbols like scuba gear, vinyls, and compasses were integrated into a “Love Box Through Time,” a retro postbox-style keepsake capturing three generations of family love stories. Gold-foiled, textured envelopes and handwritten letters added a nostalgic touch, making the stationery feel like a storybook.

Mirabilia Design Studio: Emotion Meets Expression

Vidhi Mehta & Twinkal Mehta of Mirabilia Design Studio focuses on the tiny details that turn stationery into keepsakes. “Translating a love story into design isn’t just about fonts and florals; it’s about quirks, emotions, and memories,” she says.
Her Wardrobe Planner invitation became an instant favorite, blending playful Hindi humor with practical design. “It went viral, reaching over 150k views, because it felt real, rooted, and celebratory,” she notes.

Osprey Invites: Listening as the Key to Design

For Pooja Mehta from Osprey Designs, the design process begins with attentive listening. “I ask couples about their favourite memories, shared passions, and little inside jokes, and weave those into every detail of the invite,” she explains.
One of her most personal creations featured hand-drawn sketches of locations that mattered most to the couple, including a café where they first met and travel destinations. The result was an invitation that felt less like stationery and more like a mini memoir.

Trends in Wedding Invitations for 2025
This season, wedding stationery blends innovation with personal storytelling. Key trends include:
- Bold & Vibrant Color Palettes: Earthy terracotta, burnt sienna, and jewel tones like emerald and royal blue.
- Innovative Shapes & Layouts: Arched cards, die-cut designs, charms, and custom folds.
- Experiential & Personalized Weddings: Invitations extend into immersive guest experiences and pre/post-wedding events.
- Interactive & Tech Elements: QR codes for RSVPs, video messages, and even AI-animated invites.
- Sustainability: Eco-friendly materials and printing techniques are increasingly preferred.
In essence, 2025 wedding invitations are all about personalization. Every font, fold, and flourish tells a story, making each invite the first unforgettable moment of the celebration.
