This year, the five-day festivities are from September 28 to October 2, 2025. Mahalaya, which is September 21, is the day Goddess Durga is invoked through chants and prayers. Major festivities begin when Durga Maa’s face is unveiled. Some do that on Maha Panchami and some on Maha Shashthi. As for which pandals you should visit this year to seek Maa’s blessings, read on.
1. Bombay Durga Bari Samiti
In its 96th year of celebration, Bombay Durga Puja Bari Samiti is the oldest in Mumbai. It is also recognised by the Department of Maharashtra Tourism with a heritage tag. Do not miss out on their bhog and do partake in a bunch of cultural programs. They are known for homely pujo celebrations and beautiful idols.

2. Bengal Club, Shivaji Park
One of the most revered and one of the oldest pujos in Mumbai, Bengal Club has been celebrating Durga Puja for 90 years. Dhaak’s percussive sounds will welcome you even before you set foot in for darshan. They have a great food spread for devotees to dig into. And, have good cultural programs. Even the Bengal Club pujo is recognised by the Maharashtra Tourism Department.

3. North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Samiti
After many years at Tulip Star, Juhu, North Bombay Durga Pujo now takes place at SNDT Grounds in Juhu. Established in 1948, it was started by Shasdhar Mukerji along with 26 friends. It is also famously known as Mukherji pujo, wherein Rani Mukherji, Kajol, Ayan Mukherji, Tanishaa, more Mukherji cousins, and a whole bunch of celebrities are spotted. This is also the first year when Debu Mukherji would not be seen serving bhog or having candid conversations with guests. He passed away earlier this year.

4. Lokhandwala Durgotav
Started by singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya in 1996, this is also a very star-studded affair. With live performances, themed pandal, lots of cultural programs, and yummy food, this one’s a vibe. Lokhandwala backroad comes alive with festive lighting and music blasting from a mile away. Their bhog is one of the best bhogs in the city. And, the taste will linger on. It gets really crowded on Ashthami day.

5. Durgotsab Andheri Link Road Sarbojanik Durga Puja
By Bangla Cultural Association & Indian Bangla Club, this pujo happens at Chitrakoot Grounds at DN Nagar. The mandap is fully air-conditioned and serves delicious bhog on all five days in the evenings. Catch live acts by Usha Uthup, Rituparna Sengupta, Rachana Banerjee, and more. Also, between 7.30 to 8.30 pm, you can witness traditional dhunuchi (dhuno) naach.

Pro Tips: Queue up for phuchkas with anticipation and ask for phau (free one). Really dress up in traditional attire to see Durga Maa, and do not forget to take loads of selfies with the Maa, and of course, your friends. If you plan well, you can have five bhogs on five days of the festivities.
