India Beach Fashion Week 2025 Brings A New Wave Of Resort Fashion And Creative Freedom

Goa has always been India’s escape — a sun-soaked haven where the waves hum stories of freedom, rhythm, and color. But every year, for one glamorous weekend, it transforms into something even more magical — a global runway for resort fashion. The 11th edition of India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW), held from October 9th to 11th, 2025, wasn’t just another event; it was a celebration of everything fashion stands for — creativity, craftsmanship, and confidence.

Now more than a decade old, IBFW has become synonymous with India’s evolving relationship with resort wear. At the heart of this transformation are Pallav Ojha and Neha Asthana, the visionary founders who have shaped IBFW into a movement. Pallav, the CEO and creative force behind the show, describes the journey best: “Celebrating eleven years of IBFW with Timex as our presenting partner has been incredibly special. Their legacy of precision and style perfectly complemented our vision of showcasing resort fashion that’s bold, elegant, and forward-thinking.” His words resonated through every collection that graced the runway.

Neha Asthana, the Co-Founder, added her own layer of perspective, calling this year’s showcase “the evolution of resort fashion in India — where design innovation met immersive brand storytelling.” Her sentiment was evident in the thoughtfulness behind each collection — a balance of creativity and consciousness. Together, Pallav and Neha have made IBFW not just an event, but a creative ecosystem where designers, brands, and audiences converge in celebration of coastal couture.

And what a weekend it was. Over two glittering days, IBFW 2025 lit up the sands of Goa with a

showcase that was as vibrant as it was visionary. With Timex India as the presenting partner, the theme of “fashion meets time” came alive in spectacular style. Deepak Chhabra, Managing Director of Timex India, summed it up beautifully: “Fashion and time are deeply connected — both are forms of self-expression.” The collaboration added depth to the experience, marrying heritage with modernity in a way that felt effortlessly timeless.

The runway was a living canvas of creative energy, each designer bringing a fresh perspective to resort wear. Standout showcases included Timex x Abhishek Sharma, COMO Designers Collective, Bhawna Rao, and Noor Ghar by Reet — each leaving an indelible mark in pattern, stance, and style. The designers didn’t just present garments; they told stories. From structured silhouettes that mirrored the discipline of time to fluid fabrics that danced with every Goan breeze, their artistry was palpable. Noor Ghar by Reet particularly caught the eye — a runway that was diverse, immersive, and beautifully layered, echoing the vibrancy of contemporary resort fashion while staying rooted in cultural richness.

Then came moments that truly stole the show — Bhawna Rao’s “Night Cocktail”, with Mukti Mohan gliding down the runway in liquid shimmer, redefining evening sophistication with effortless sensuality. The energy only amplified when Campus Shoes joined forces with EESUM for their youthful showcase “The Pulse of Youth,” led by the dynamic Fatima Sana Shaikh. It was a vibrant explosion of movement, music, and confidence — a nod to the spirit of self-expression that defines today’s generation.

The finale, featuring Prathamesh Maulingkar, brought the house down — his presence a perfect embodiment of poise, strength, and timeless charm. The moment encapsulated IBFW’s essence — a blend of elegance, energy, and intention.

With every edition, IBFW continues to blur the lines between beach, luxury, and lifestyle. And if this year was any indication, the tides of resort fashion are only rising higher — led by Goa, glowing under the sun, and styled for the world to see.
